Cascadia Chronicles: May 2025
Hello, Friend!
Thank you for being here. This is the first issue of the Cascadia Chronicles — a whimsical dispatch from imaginary lands, delivered to those with a penchant for wonder.
Here you can expect exclusive and early glimpses of Cascadia Prime, a wondrous world inspired by the Pacific Northwest where gardens and forests come to life in ways you haven’t seen on Earth. You’ll also receive brief updates from the Floranauts as they explore the peculiar planets, gorgeous galaxies, and seemingly impossible dimensions around Cascadia Prime. I hope you come away from each dispatch wondering, “What if?” and conjuring stories in your mind.
Lycadrakes are not quite wolf, not quite dragon… it’s my understanding that they harmonize their howls into haunting songs that tap into another plane of existence, causing any nearby humans to hallucinate otherworldly visions for hours. No one knows what they’re singing about… yet.
As promised, the full-color version of recent Instagram post.
A new friend from Uncanny Valley named Olo (a real-life new color!).
“A garden to walk in and immensity to dream in--what more could he ask? A few flowers at his feet and above him the stars.” ― Victor Hugo, Les Misérables
Floranaut transmission: “We encountered this Irisian priestess who communicates with and through prisms. Planning to stay another week and try to understand her methods.”
That’s all for now… See you on social media until next month! xo, Sarah
